Note:
A restore only offers what that specific backup actually holds. Restoring Firestore data can overwrite current data and cannot be undone — make a new backup first if you want a safety net.
Restoring Configuration
Find the backup
In the backups list, locate the backup you want to restore and click Restore.
Choose what to restore
Toggle each configuration section you want restored: Content Types, Components, Messaging Configurations, Tags.
Confirm
Type the backup ID to confirm, then click Restore.
Restoring Firestore Data
Find the backup
In the backups list, locate a backup that includes Firestore data and click Restore.
Choose a write mode
- Merge (default) — backed-up documents overwrite documents with the same ID in the target database; everything else is left untouched. Non-destructive.
- Replace — wipes the target collections first, so the result is an exact replica of the backup. Destructive — requires confirming you understand data will be deleted.
Confirm
Type the backup ID to confirm, then click Restore. Progress is shown in the run panel.
Reindex After Restoring
If you use Full-Text Search, run a Reindex after restoring Firestore data so the search index reflects the restored data. The Reindex option is available in the Backups tab and in Search settings.
